Abstract
Transverse myelitis is a rare disease that occurs by incident 0,3%-1%. Though it is rare, transverse myelitis deserves to discuss because of the variant presentation that makes it a clinical challenge to diagnose to pre-observation for upgrade’s prognosis. We reported a casa e of transverse myelitis, a neurology complication of the rare herpes zoster virus. A 27-year-old woman came with initial complaints of tingling, fever, pain, and intermittent chills in her right leg and hand 23 days earlier, so she was diagnosed with a stroke at the previous health facility. Diagnosis of transverse myelitis could stand through clinical symptoms, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) patients that came by her skin of hypopigmented have to always consider the happening of transverse myelitis and lost control of defecate neurology observation being paraplegic, monoparese extremitas superior, and hypoaesthesia dermatome C5 on low grade. We observed MRI to the level cervicothoracic that showed long segment hyperintensity intradural intramedullary to the level craniovertebral junction, so C5 and T2 so on that involved 2/3 spinal cord that strength described transverse myelitis. Varicella zoster virus cou caused neurologis complication, the of transverse myelitis, of it is sign and sympton like pain, sencoric trouble, weakness on arm and foot, and the problem bladder and intestines. This symptom often occured unilaterally, Ipsilateral toward rash then become bilaterally. Intervention should the customize with pattient complaint: The implement combination asiklovir and high close steroid’s inject significantly relieve the pattient complaining but still occured paraplegi.
